Federal SDGs support unit- Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, UNDP Pakistan and Pakistan Bureau of Statistics jointly organized a 5-day training on Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) from 26-30 March 2018. The training was developed to understand design and use of multidimensional approaches to measure poverty and guide for policies relevant for SDG 1. The aim of the MPI training course was to provide a conceptual and technical introduction to multidimensional poverty measurement with a strong emphasis on the Alkire Foster Methods. Participants represented federal and provincial government planning and policy units, development agencies, programme officers and academicians.
